The Fit Miss Jones Girls Run program is designed just for girls in third, fourth and fifth grades. Fit Miss promotes the idea of developing the whole child — physically, socially and emotionally through a multifaceted wellness and running program.
Each week will focus on an exercise style, a nutrition topic, character development and training to run a race. After six weeks, each participant may complete a 5K road race: the Greensboro Science Center’s Tuxedo Trot on Saturday, May 19.
Practices will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, April 11–May 16. The program costs $65 and includes the 5K race entry fee, a journal, weekly snack and T-shirt. Limited scholarships are available.
Those with questions or wanting scholarship applications should email Micheala Amidon at Michealadaly@yahoo.com
Registration is due March 29 and is limited to 25 participants.
